Nebula RC NoFoam™ Multiverse 2.9 Inserts — SCX6 / Vertex-6 Tunable Tire Inserts
The NoFoam™ Multiverse 2.9 Inserts bring NebulaRC’s tunable insert design to big-scale crawlers, printed and offered through Nasty Customs for builders who want more control, better support, and more consistent performance than traditional foam inserts.
These inserts are designed to mimic the feel of an aired-down off-road tire: supported where you need structure, flexible where you need grip, and water-friendly so they will not soak up water, break down, or rot like foam.
Whether you are running a stock Redcat Vertex-6, a stock SCX6, or a heavier modified SCX6 with larger aftermarket tires, the Multiverse lineup gives you options to tune your rig instead of forcing every build into the same insert.

Super Soft
Best for lighter rigs and maximum tire conformity.
Great choice for:
- Stock Redcat Vertex-6
- Vertex-6 with optional Redcat weight hangers
- Lighter 1/6 rigs that need more tire flex
If you are running a mostly stock Vertex-6, Super Soft is the go-to starting point.
Soft
Best for stock to moderately heavy rigs that need more support without killing tire flex.
Great choice for:
- Stock SCX6
- Slightly heavier (+1-3 lbs) SCX6 builds
- Front tires on a Vertex-6 with added front weight beyond the optional Redcat weight hangers
- Vertex-6 builds with a combination of heavy servo mount, upgraded servo, metal truss, or front weight hangers
Example: If your Vertex-6 has a heavier front end from a combination of upgraded servo, servo mount, or front weight hangers, you may prefer Soft inserts in the front and Super Soft inserts in the rear.
Medium
Best for heavier SCX6 builds that need extra sidewall support.
Great choice for:
- Heavy SCX6 builds
- Rigs with added brass, hard bodies, scale accessories, beds, cages, or heavy bumpers
- Builds that feel too soft or unstable on softer inserts
If your SCX6 is +5-7lbs heavier than stock, Medium is likely the better fit.
If your SCX6 exceeds 7+lbs heavier than stock please contact us so we can discuss your specific build/needs. We have produced MultiVerse for heavier weighted trucks with great success, but a number of factors contribute to finding the best fit/solution.
Here are a few easy starting points:
- Stock Vertex-6: Super Soft front and rear
- Vertex-6 with weight hangers: Super Soft front and rear works great for most setups
- Vertex-6 with heavy front upgrades: Soft front / Super Soft rear
- Stock SCX6: Soft front and rear
- Slightly heavier SCX6: Soft front and rear, or Medium front if the nose is heavy
- Heavy SCX6: Medium front and rear
Inserts are sold by the pair or set of 4 so you can mix and match front and rear firmness instead of being locked into one setup for the whole rig.

Each 2.9 Multiverse insert has 14 openings where tuning pods can be installed. Adding a tuning pod stiffens that opening, limits compression in that area, and adds more sidewall support.
Tuning pods can be used in every opening, every other opening to create a lugged support pattern, or placed wherever you want extra support.
NebulaRC has had many drivers run their 1/10-focused Multiverse inserts with no tuning pods and be very happy with the setup. The pods are not required, but they give you another level of customization if you like to fine-tune your rig.
Tuning pods are sold separately in 16-packs. One 16-pack covers a pair of inserts when installed in every other opening, with 2 extras included.
Designed for 2.9 big-scale crawler tires, including:
- Stock Redcat Vertex-6 tires

Because tire carcass size and sidewall stiffness can vary between brands and models, some setups may benefit from a different insert firmness depending on vehicle weight and driving style.

NebulaRC offers the personal-use digital files for the 2.9 NoFoam™ Multiverse Inserts directly on their website. If you have the right printer setup and want to handle the printing yourself, you can grab the files from NebulaRC and build your own set.
Color may vary based on material availability. Performance remains the same.
These inserts are printed in 90A TPU. TPU flexibility changes with temperature. In colder weather, inserts may feel firmer and rebound slower. In high heat, especially under vehicle weight or direct sun, TPU may soften slightly. Best performance is expected in mild to warm conditions.
Some lead time may be needed depending on demand.

Choose one pair for the front and one pair for the rear in your preferred firmness, or a full set of 4 if you want the same firmness all around.
